Okay, so here is my first post on my new blog, Open Door #4. I can't tell you how long it took me to come up with a name that I liked for this blog. I felt like it was important to find a name that reflected my personality and the type of posts I'd be writing. I love the fact that this is catchy and includes a number. My plan is to integrate the number four into the blog as much as possible. I hope I can make it work and am really excited to start a daily my daily entries on Open Door #4.
Sitting here typing, I am reminded of all of the things that I want to do this weekend. I am itching to make a list so that I don't forget anything. Right now, we have had two movies from Netflix for over a month. During the summer, things were slower and our turn-around time was really great but at this point, sitting in front of the TV for two hours is not alluring. It's not that I don't want to see the movies that we do have--I'm just easily distracted lately. As of last month, we had about 25 movies on our queue. When I checked earlier today, we had 55 movies. Boyfriend recently logged into our account and added a bunch of films to the list. This has convinced me to make time for at least one of the movies this Saturday when the forecast predicts rain the whole day.
To end this post, here are the top 4 movies that I am looking forward to seeing that are currently in limbo on my Netflix queue. It was really hard to pick just four but I guess that's the theme of the blog, right?
1. Adventureland--love the cast, love quirky coming-of-age tales and love carnival cotton candy
2. Happy-Go-Lucky--I heard that this is a great movie, very optimistic and British. Right up my alley.
3. The Lives of Others--I really enjoy foreign films and this one got great reviews. I really can't wait until it's sitting in the mailbox.
4. An American in Paris--I have soft spots for musicals and Gene Kelly. Enough said.
Thanks to all for reading and being part of the start of Open Door #4. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and am so excited for all of the posts to come.
